I am a little late on this article. Today is the LAST day to subscribe to Vegan Cuts Snack Box this month so don’t waste your time and do it now! Why? I will explain in details here, but I can assure you, their snack box is amazing. If there was one thing that wasn’t perfect about it, it was the fact that the boxes were shipped just in the US… BUT now Vegan Cuts is shipping their Snack Box WORLDWIDE! If you live in Canada you can get it paying an extra $8 and for any other place the shipping cost is $15. Is it worth it? We from All About Vegan Food say YES.
First of all, are you familar with Vegan Cuts? You really should be. Run by Jill and John, an amazing vegan couple whom I’ve had the great pleasure of meeting in person in 2009 in Dublin, Vegan Cuts is the best place to get some of the best vegan and cruelty-free products for less.
I’ve written about their Snack Box before so today I will review the box they’ve sent me to review. We was included in the list of the first people/websites outside the US to receive a Snack Box and I was very excited about it, of course! Box took between two and three weeks to arrive and I consider it great. Italian post service isn’t the greatest in the world and I was afraid of not even getting the box delivered to me – or seeing it stuck in the importation department of the post service (it happened before with a package send to us through the Vegan Package Swap).
Okay, back to the Snack Box. I’ve got it last week just after we were back from a short holiday in Brazil and me and my kid opened it together. Box came with ten items, all small and light packages. He played with all snack packages, have to say. It was such a joy! He wanted the cookie so Ginny Bakes Dreamy Vegan Delight was the first item to be opened. Allow me to itemize the box:
Ginny Bakes Dreamy Vegan Delight: package contains two organic, gluten-free cookies with the flavors of coconut and vanilla. It tastes amazing. The only downside was that they were too crunch and hard to our vegan toddler so he was able just to lick a cookie for a few seconds.
Saffron Road’s organic Crunchy Chickpeas: I have to admit that this was the item that got my attention as soon as I opened the box. Couldn’t wait to try them! Chickepeas in the package are a wholesome, protein-rich and seasoned with exotic spices. Maybe too hot for me but they were too good to eat just a few at a time!
Angie’s Sweet and Salty Classic Kettle Corn is a small package of popcorn, made with just four ingredients: popcorn, sunflower oil, evaporated cane juice and sea salt. I love sweet popcorn and never eat them in Italy, so it was a delight to get this delicious little package.
Bare Fruit’s Crunchy Apple Chips caused different reactions in the house. I was expecting a more “cinnamoned” flavor so I was a little bit disappointed but my husband loved them. He hates cinnamon and was very pleased to see that the apple taste was prevalent.
Journey Bar’s savory Sesame Ginger was a good surprise! I didn’t know what to expect from a savory bar so the first bite was like “what’s going on inside my mouth?!” type of reaction but I loved it. Bar is inspired by the flavors of Japanese cuisine and provides long-lasting energy, welcome to a mother of a very energetic boy – whom woke up at 5:30am this morning!
Graw Foods Banana Coconut Grawnola Bar is an awesome combo of fruit and nuts and although I’m not a huge consumer of raw goodies I usually enjoy raw bars.
Earnest Eats Dark Choco Expresso Bar was one of the last items to be opened (so far!) and it was another favorite to me. It has a strong dark chocolate and mint flavor and I love this combo! Other ingredients are espresso, oats, nuts and seeds.
We still have three items to try: Teeccino’s Hazelnut Herbal Coffee Tee-Bag, that I look forward to try because I love everything related to coffee or tea; Vigilant Eats Superfood Cereal, that is up to my husband to try cause he’s a cereal type of person; and Crystal Body Deodorant‘s biodegradable towelettes that he will take on tour next week (they sound just perfect for a few days on the road!).
What else can I say? Goodies are mostly gluten-free (or wheat-free) and palm oil free. Want more? Vegan Cuts Snack Box is an amazing way to treat yourself every month with vegan goodies. Sign up now and get your monthly snack party!
