In 2008, after moving from Brazil to Ireland, I decided to create a blog to write about my new adventures into vegan food in Europe and have created the blog All About… (Vegan) Food. It was the beginning of a new era in my life, living far from my home town for the first time, and having the chance to travel more around and trying new places and products.
I’m a journalist and couldn’t find better way to share my adventures with the others. I’ve being vegan for 15 years now and the only experience I had before was about how to be vegan in Brazil and, believe me, it’s really different from being vegan in Europe or in the US. Not because of the reason, I’m vegan for ethical reasons, but because of the food and that’s why I wanted to write about everything.
Four years later and after one year of having left the page a little not that active after having my first baby and moved to Rome, I’ve decided to dedicate to it again and use all my professional skills to make it not a blog anymore, but a website about vegan food and the other aspects of veganism. Veganism is a life choice, a choice for life and respect and it goes far beyond a dietary choice. This page is still focused in the food, recipes and how to raise a vegan child, and also our new projects for this space, but I want to make clear that I’ll try to write about animal rights too because to me it is the biggest part of being vegan.
From February 5th 2013 we are also home of the first international VEGAN PACKAGE SWAP! We are really happy and excited about this project and hope you can join us if you still haven’t! First swap will take place in March 2013.
